Bardic Challeng Boast
by Aethon Tobar
Gentle people of Ar nDraiocht Fein, gather close.
Hear a tale of woe;
of heartache, sorrow, and loss...
Bah! Hear it somewhere else!
Today I speak only of great deeds and mighty heroes.
Many were we who gathered upon the field
and journeyed to receive the blessings of warriors past.
Our spirits were high and our aim was Tru.
The flights of our arrows were witnessed by all.
The circle was drawn; our strength and speed were tested.
Good people, harken to me;
For today I sing glad and big; but not of Olaf.
Today I sing of James the Strong, King of the Circle.
I sing of Young Benjamin, the swift and acurate.
I sing of Anna the Silver Tongue, the Queen of Archers.
I sing of my brothers; my sisters; I sing of Warriors!
Hail to the Warriors!
