Bylaws

I. Name
The name of this organization shall be The Warriors Clan of Triskele Rivers Grove.
II. Mission Statement
The Warriors Clan of Triskele Rivers Grove is dedicated to the protection and security of the Pagan community with members who are trained in spiritual, mental and physical defense, designing & performing liturgy for Warrior spirituality, and emergency response. All this is done through the study of warrior magic, history, strategy, and physical training.
III. Membership
The Warriors Clan of Triskele Rivers Grove shall be open to all those persons who:
A) Are members of Triskele Rivers Grove.
B) Submit a completed membership application to include:1) what skills candidate brings to the Clan
2) what the candidate expects from the Clan and
3) contact informationC) Agree to stand for and by the official Virtues of the Warriors Clan.
E) Active Members are:
D) All Warriors Clan members are required to abide by the Warriors Clan Ethics Code and Virtues.1) Any new member or
2) Any member actively pursuing training through the Warrior Specialization of the Triskele Study Program (hereinafter referred to as the “Warriors Study Plan”).F) Inactive Members
1) Any member who has missed a Clan meeting and is not actively engaged in the Triskele Rivers Grove Warriors Clan Study Plan shall be placed on the inactive list.
2) Inactive members shall continue to be sent all Clan communication, email, etc.
3)As soon as an inactive member again becomes active in the Triskele Rivers Grove Warriors Clan Study Plan, they shall automatically be moved back to the Active list.
IV. Loss of Clan Membership
A) Violation of the Triskele Rivers Grove Warriors Clan Ethics Code is grounds for the expulsion from the Warriors Clan upon unanimous vote of the Council of Honor.
B) Loss of Triskele Rivers Grove membership shall result in loss of Clan membership.
C) Missing three consecutive scheduled Clan meetings by the process that follows:1) Missing one meeting – member shall be placed on the inactive list.
2) Missing two consecutive meetings – a written letter shall be sent to the member by the Clan Scribe informing them that missing one more meeting may result in the loss of Clan membership.
3) Missing three consecutive meetings – member will be taken off the Clan roster, the Clan Scribe will send the member a written letter informing them of this action.Scheduled Clan meetings do not include High Day events or get togethers. Members who know in advance that they will miss a scheduled meeting shall inform a member of the COH at least 3 days in advance of the meeting, if member does not know in advance, member shall inform a member of the COH within two weeks after said missed meeting of circumstances which caused their absence. COH shall determine if circumstances for missed scheduled meetings are excusable or unexcusable. If after losing membership due to Section 4, Paragraph C, said person can be reinstated by the process that follows:
a) must attend three consecutive scheduled meetings
b) must plead their case to the COHThere will be no excuses under this process for missing scheduled meetings save hospitalization or death in the family.
V. Rank
Rank in the Warriors Clan will be based on the circle levels of the Warriors Clan study plan specialty.
VI. Clan Chief Succession
Succession of the Clan Chief shall be a trial of combat as follows:
a) a challenge is issued
b) high council must vote as to whether to accept the challenge
c) the Chief has the right to choose the form of combat
VII. Clan Secular Leadership
A. the duties and responsibilities of the Secular Leadership are to include:
1) Clan Chief
a) Representing the Clan to the leadership and membership of Triskele Rivers Grove.
b) Facilitating the formation of consensus and decision making, and
c) Managerial oversight of all other Clan Officers
d) The Clan Chief must have a publishable address and phone number
e) Make regular quarterly reports to the Senior Druid2) Clan Scribe
a) Recording minutes of all Clan meetings and activities
b) Tallying results for all votes of the general membership, except in elections where the Scribe is running for office in which case the members advocate shall be asked to do this duty
c) Publishing and distributing information to the membership concerning Clan decisions and activities
d) Maintaining the official Clan membership roster
e) Notifying Clan members of any changes in their status within two days of the change
f) Make regular reports to the Clan Chief
g) Term in office shall be initial one-year term and if re-appointed, each consecutive term will then be three years and may be re-appointed an unlimited number of times.3) Clan Pursewarden
a) Collecting, recording and safe-keeping all funds of the Clan, including membership fees, Warriors Clan Study Plan charges and other money generated on behalf of the Clan,
b) Recording these funds in a timely and accurate manner and making this information available to the other Clan Officers and members
c) Making payments out of these funds to cover expenses and purchases approved by the Clan Officers
d) Make regular quarterly report to the Triskele Rivers Grove Pursewarden
e) Term in office shall be an initial one-year term and if re-appointed, each consecutive term will then be three years and may be re-appointed an unlimited number of times.4) Clan Preceptor
This position shall remain vacant until our numbers indicate a need for it. Duties and responsibilities shall include:
a) Leading the creation of the Clan proposal for the Warrior Specialization of the Warriors Clan Study Program and all future revisions thereto
b) Overseeing the progress of all members enrolled in the Warrior Study Plan, and advising students either directly, or by appointing advisors
c) Advisors shall supervise the work of students, provide guidance and report regularly to the Clan Preceptor on the progress of each student
d) Making any required reports and maintaining contact with the Clan Chief
VIII. CoH Representatives
CoH representatives shall consist of the Clan Chief, two Lieutenants, and the High Protector of the Red Branch Warriors.
IX. Removal of the CoH Representatives
a) CoH representatives can be removed from office for violation of the Warriors Clan Code of Ethics as determined by unanimous vote of the remaining CoH. Such a person will then be subject to the same expulsion procedure as any other member
b) Any CoH representative shall give at least 30 days notice to the Clan, if possible, of his/her intent to resign from the CoH
c) Loss of Triskele Rivers Grove membership shall result in loss of office
X. Authority
The Triskele Rivers Grove Warrior Clan is a sub-organization of Triskele Rivers Grove and thus is bound by its rules and regulations. Any Clan member may ask for a Grove review of a Clan or CoH decision by contacting the Members' Advocate but it is strongly encouraged to make every effort to solve the problem within the confines of the Clan first.
XI. Dues
The CoH has the right to assess dues for the Clan
XII. Subgroups
There is only one Warriors Clan in Triskele Rivers Grove
XIII. Amendment to the Bylaws
The bylaws can be amended by a 2/3 vote of the members. For an amendment to take place, a CoH member must be approached with the change, the CoH member will then in turn make a proposal for an amendment.
